5. Alternative Makeup Remover
Out of your store bought makeup remover? Do not fret…just grab your nearest lotion bottle and some tissue paper. Lotion can remove even the most stubborn mascara. You can also make a homemade version of your store bought makeup remover: just combine coconut oil, water, and baby shampoo. Put the combination in a jar with some cotton pads…and voila! You own makeup remover!
6. Ditch that Makeup Sponge
A Makeup sponge usually absorbs more foundation than it distributes onto your face, which is a costly waste. The solution? Use a large foundation brush. Just put a few dots of your foundation on the end of the brush bristles. Dab the foundation in a few key areas (forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose) – then use the brush to blend the foundation all over your face.
7. Exfoliate…..Your Lips??
Flaky dry lips are the worst, and they make an awful foundation for your lipstick. Apply some lip balm to your lips and use a clean toothbrush or mascara wand to scrub. After a few minutes of scrubbing, wipe away any loose skin or balm. Now you will have soft and smooth lips to apply your lipstick to.
8. Use Bananas to Soften Rough Feet
Bananas can often become too overripe before you get the chance to use them. If you have any extra bananas, mash them up and spread them all over the heels of your feet. Use plastic wrap to cover the banana and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then grab your pumice stone and exfoliate your heels.
